Ranveer Singh Bhavnani is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films. He is one of the highest-paid actors in the country and has been featured in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list since 2012.

Singh was born on July 6, 1985 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He is the son of Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Bhavnani. He has an elder sister, Ritika Bhavnani. Singh's grandparents moved to Bombay from Karachi, Sindh (in present-day Pakistan) during the Partition of India.

Singh studied at the Oberoi International School in Mumbai. After graduating from school, he moved to the United States to study at Indiana University Bloomington. He graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Communication.

After graduating from college, Singh returned to India and started his career as a model. He appeared in several commercials and music videos. In 2010, he made his acting debut in the film Band Baaja Baarat. The film was a critical and commercial success, and Singh won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his performance.

Singh has since starred in a number of successful films, including Ram-Leela (2013), Bajirao Mastani (2015), Padmaavat (2018), and 83 (2023). He is known for his flamboyant personality and energetic performances. He has been praised by critics for his range and versatility as an actor.

Singh is married to Deepika Padukone, another popular Bollywood actor. They got married in 2018.
